Who Benefits Most From a Weekend Dentist in Los Angeles

Our weekend hours were designed with specific patients in mind, people whose lives simply don't allow for a Tuesday afternoon dental appointment.
  • Working Adults If taking time off work means lost income or using precious PTO, our weekend hours mean you never have to choose between your paycheck and your dental health.
  • Parents With School-Age Children Pulling a child out of school for a dental appointment or taking time off work to take them is a real inconvenience. Weekend visits solve both problems at once. Bring the whole family on a single Saturday trip.
  • People Dealing With a Dental Emergency Dental emergencies don't respect the work week. A toothache that starts Friday evening or a broken tooth on Sunday afternoon can be assessed and treated the same day — without waiting until Monday or visiting a hospital emergency room.
  • Patients Who Have Been Putting It Off If a hectic weekday schedule has been your reason for avoiding the dentist, that reason no longer applies. Walk in any weekend, no planning required.
  • New Patients With No Established Dentist Moving to a new area, between dental providers, or simply never having established care? We welcome new patients as walk-ins every weekend. No history with us required.
  • Spanish-Speaking Patients Our fully bilingual team means Spanish-speaking patients can communicate comfortably and completely, in the language they're most at ease with.

Dental Emergency on the Weekend? Don't Wait Until Monday.

Weekend dental emergencies are one of the most common reasons patients end up in a hospital emergency room, not because the ER is the right place for dental care, but because they have nowhere else to go.

Hospital ERs are not equipped to treat dental problems. They can manage pain temporarily and prescribe antibiotics, but they cannot treat the underlying dental issue. You'll pay significantly more for care that doesn't solve the problem and still need to see a dentist afterward.

Amigos Dental for Kids & Adults handles true dental emergencies on weekends, the same day you walk in.

Weekend dental emergencies we treat:
  • Severe toothache Intense, persistent tooth pain is often a sign of infection or abscess. We assess and treat the source of the pain, not just mask it.
  • Knocked-out tooth Time is critical. Get to us within 30–60 minutes for the best chance of saving the tooth. Call our emergency line on the way.
  • Dental abscess or facial swelling Swelling in the jaw or face accompanied by fever is a serious infection that needs immediate attention — not a wait-until-Monday situation.
  • Broken or cracked tooth A broken tooth causing pain or sensitivity needs to be assessed and stabilized to prevent further damage and infection.
  • Lost filling or crown Leaving a tooth exposed after a filling or crown falls out accelerates damage. We can re-cement or replace same-day in most cases.
  • Object stuck between teeth If you can't remove it safely with floss, come in — don't use sharp tools that can damage your gums.
